This recognition is due to 15 continuous years as a SMSF Specialist member of Australia’s leading SMSF organisation.

Before founding Grow SMSF I was part of Intello as both a director and owner of the business. At this time Intello was looking after more than 2,000 SMSFs for both direct trustees (under the Superfund Partners banner) as well as SMSFs for behalf of more than 100 accounting and financial advice businesses from all over Australia.

My role changed from being very hands-on overseeing the day to day operations to being focused on business development and eventually a pure SMSF specialist role providing technical support and heading up the marketing activities of the business.

SMSF administration is a tough business however I was very proud to lead a team that won the SMSF Adviser award for administration in both 2016 and 2017.  In hindsight the reason why we won these awards was simple: We provided a great service and got the basics right. Our clients knew they could depend on me and my team and help was only ever a phone call or email away.

In September 2014 the SMSF business I was overseeing, Superfund Partners split off a separate business: Superfund Wholesale.

Where Superfund Partners worked direct with SMSF trustees, Superfund Wholesale was a lower cost ‘white-label’ SMSF solution for financial advisers and accountants.  Superfund Wholesale quickly overtook Superfund Partners in terms of size and scale.

I become a registered tax agent (individual) with the Tax Practitioners Board in 2012.

In late 2010 I joined a relatively new business – Superfund Partners.

The business was in its infancy, with fewer than 40 SMSF clients that came from the parent company (Quill). I can honestly say that landing this role was extremely fortunate for me.  Very much a case of right place / right time.

Superfund Partners introduced me to Class Super and much of our success as a team came from leveraging the capabilities of Class to deliver a superior service.

Superfund Partners closed in April 2020 when the owners (excluding myself) made the decision to absorb the business into Intello.

Although Superfund Partners was never perfect, there we some great team members, great partners and fantastic loyal clients who made the business what it was for more than 10 years.
